Women’s Golf Finishes Third at Southwestern College Invite

Winfield, Kan. - The Bethel women's golf team put together a strong showing at the Southwestern College Invite, finishing third overall in a competitive field.

Individually, Carley led the way with a pair of consistent rounds at 79-79 to post a 158, good for a tie for second place. She finished alongside Lauren Kelly of Southwestern, who edged her in a scorecard playoff. Carley's runner-up finish highlighted a balanced performance for the Threshers.

Marley Cooper turned in another steady effort, carding an 84-86 for a 170 to take sixth place. Clover Maples also contributed, placing 13th with rounds of 98-96 for a 194.

MidAmerica Nazarene captured the team title, followed by Central Christian in second, while Bethel placed third ahead of Southwestern and Oklahoma Wesleyan.

The Threshers will look to build on the momentum from this finish as they continue their fall slate.
