Women's Golf Concludes Fall Season at KCAC Match Play

DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Bethel College women's golf team wrapped up its fall season at the 2026 KCAC Women's Golf Match Play Event at Mariah Hills Golf Course, finishing with a 4-0 sweep of Tabor.

The event opened with an 18-hole stroke play qualifier on the par-71 course. Bethel shot a team score of 405 and placed fifth, which put the Threshers in the silver bracket. Carley Littell led the way with a 93 and tied for 17th. Jayden Ramsey shot 100 (T24), Charlotte Meakim shot 101 (T26) and Katherine Friesen carded a 111.

Southwestern, Kansas Wesleyan and Sterling did not bring full teams, so their individual golfers were grouped into a combination team and placed in the silver bracket as the No. 8 seed. Bethel faced that team in the opening round of match play in an unofficial match.

Littell beat Kansas Wesleyan's Emily Stamper, closing out her match in 13 holes. Ramsey also won in 13 holes against Sterling's Addelyn Patterson. Meakim lost to Southwestern's Anna Kate Ownbey in 13 holes, Friesen fell to Kansas Wesleyan's Madelyne Ponce in 14 holes, and MacKenzie Stroud lost to Southwestern's Lilli Sympson in 10 holes. The combination team won the unofficial match 3-2.

On Oct. 20, the Threshers took on conference rival Tabor and won every match. Littell led the way with a dominant 10&8 win over Natalie Unsworth, and Meakim followed with a 9&8 victory over Jimena DeLeon. Ramsey and Friesen both won close matches 2 up: Ramsey against Celina Taylor and Friesen against Alyssa York.

"It was a great way to finish the tournament," said Coach Bertholf. "All five ladies played very well in match play, and we are excited about our spring season."

Bethel returns to action in the spring.
