Brittany VanRoyen was announced as the head volleyball coach of Bethel College in January of 2026.
VanRoyen most recently served as Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Director at Pratt Community College, where she managed all aspects of the program, including recruiting, budgeting, game-day operations, and student-athlete development. During her tenure, she emphasized culture building, academic success, and competitive growth, helping the program make steady improvements while placing multiple athletes at four-year institutions.
Prior to Pratt, VanRoyen coached at Highland Community College, where the program earned a top-15 national ranking and finished 17–6 overall, and at Garden City Community College, where she helped guide a major program turnaround while improving team GPA and recruiting high-level talent. She also brings club coaching experience as a former head coach for FSC Cougars Volleyball in Wichita, further strengthening her regional recruiting connections.
A former collegiate volleyball player at Friends University, VanRoyen brings a player-first mindset to her coaching philosophy, focusing on accountability, fundamentals, and long-term development. She is committed to building strong relationships with student-athletes, alumni, and the Bethel community while continuing the tradition of competitive excellence within the Thresher volleyball program.
