Taggart Brown was named Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach at Bethel College in January
2025. He comes to Bethel after spending four seasons (2021-2025) at Oklahoma Baptist University
as the Quarterbacks Coach. In his first season at OBU, Brown coached Preston Haire who led the
GAC in total offense (3,832 yards) and total touchdowns (44). Preston garnered the GAC's Offensive
Player of the Year award before being named a Don Hansen All-American and D2CCA second team
All-Region honoree. During his time at Oklahoma Baptist University, the Quarterback room totaled
over 10,0000 passing yards and over 100 touchdowns.
Brown began his coaching career as an offensive undergraduate assistant at Oklahoma State
University in 2018. During his time at OSU, Brown worked with the quarterbacks for the first two
seasons and then spent his final season with the Tight Ends. The Cowboys had three bowl game
appearances, including the Music City Bowl, Texas Bowl, and Cheez-It Bowl.
In 2019, Brown received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science concentrating in
Strength and Conditioning from OSU with a minor in Coaching Science. A native of Enid, OK, Brown
played football, baseball, and ran track at Chisholm High School. He and his wife, Alysson, currently
reside in Newton, KS with their two dogs: Baylor and Wren.
