OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Bethel Men's Soccer team opened up the 2021 soccer season against Oklahoma City University. The Threshers would win the contest 3-1 behind goals from
Tomas Roman Espinoza,
Juan Pablo Nicoletti, and
Jose Rojas.
Espinoza would get the scoring started for the contest in the 36
th minute on a long run where he would beat the keeper to the right post.
In the 54
th minute, Nicoletti would push the Thresher lead to two with a 40 yard run that would end in him beating the keeper one-on-one.
Oklahoma City would cut the Bethel lead into half with a goal in the 58
th minute.
Rojas would put the Threshers back up by two in the 68
th minute with a goal from 15 yards out off a pass from Espinoza.
Bethel will be back in action on Monday, August 30
th as they travel to Oklahoma Science & Arts with kick-off set for 7:30 PM.
