NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel Women's Soccer team started off a busy Saturday inside Thresher Stadium with a matchup against the Central Christian Tigers. The Threshers would fall 4-2 in the contest.

The Tigers would take a 1-0 lead into halftime after a 35th-minute goal.Â

Bethel would even the contest in the 54th minute when
Katy Ponce would find the back of the net for the second time this season.
Taylor Dashney would collect the assist on Ponce's goal.Â

Central Christian would score three goals in eleven minutes to jump out to a 4-1 lead including a BC own goal.Â

The Threshers would add a goal in the 81st minute when
Gabby Fields would find the back of the net after a corner kick.Â

The Threshers were set to play Manhattan Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 14th, but the Thunder have decided to forfeit their season. Bethel's next competition will now be Stephens College on Thursday, Sept. 16th with kick-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.
