LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team opened up the 2022 part of their season with a road trip to take on the Saint Mary Spires. After a slow start from both teams, the Threshers started knocking down shots halfway through the opening period on their way to a 79-59 victory.
The Threshers took the lead in their first possession to open the game and only trailed once, 5-4. BC was able to build up their lead to as much as 11 points on multiple occasions in the first half, but the Spires never let it get any further. Bethel took a 9 point lead, 37-28, into the break.
Bryant Mocaby caught fire in the second half scoring 9 straight points for the Threshers extending their lead to 14 points early in the period. Bethel obtained their largest lead of the contest, 26 points, halfway through the second half on their way to victory.
