Five Threshers score in double-figures as Bethel routes York 94-64

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Basketball team put on an offensive and defensive clinic Tuesday night in their 30 point, 94-64, victory over the York Panthers. Bethel had five players score in double-figures as eleven players scored and held the Panthers to just 20% shooting from three.

The Threshers scored the first basket of the contest and never looked back as they quickly built up an 11 point lead, 21-10, with just over 12 minutes left to go in the opening half. Bethel had a balanced attack in the first half as they took a 46-33 advantage into the intermission. Jalyn Todd had 9 points to lead the way for the Thresher men. Clifford Byrd II, Bryant Mocaby and Carmelo Yakubu had 8 points apiece, while Nick Bonner had 7. 

The pace kept up in the second half as Bethel's offensive show kept rolling as they poured in 48 points on 18 of 34 from the floor and 9 of 17 from deep. The Thresher defense held the Panthers to 35% shooting from the floor and just 25% from three. BC had another balanced attack as Jared Richardson and Bonner had 8 points, Byrd II, Mocaby and Franklin Sampson poured in 6 apiece.
