NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Tennis team hosted the Ottawa Braves as they continued KCAC Conference play at home. The Threshers dropped the doubles point before picking up just two singles victories.
The lone Threshers doubles victory came at #1 doubles from
Michael Cech and
Milan Bucek as they picked up the 7-5 victory. Bethel fell in the two remaining doubles matches 6-3 and 6-2.
Cech, playing #1 singles, dropped his match 6-2, 6-3. Bucek, in the #2 spot, won his match with a pair of 6-0 victories.
Nolan Schrader fell in two sets 6-1, 6-0.
Tomas Quercia won his first set 6-4 before dropping the next two 6-1 and 6-4.
Joaquin Pluis picked up the final point for the Threshers as he won his match with a pair of 6-3 set victories.
Jordan Singh lost his first set in a tiebreaker 7-6(5) before dropping the second 7-5.
The Threshers will be back in action on Monday, April 4th as they make up their postponed match against Tabor College in Hillsboro at 3:00 PM.
