NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Threshers hosted the Friends Falcons for KCAC Conference play at Allen Wedel Field on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. After taking a drubbing in game one, the Threshers bounced back to win a tight 2-1 ball game.
GAME 1 L, 14-2
The Threshers started game one off on the wrong foot allowing the Falcons to bat around and some in the opening frame as Friends hung 6 runs in the inning. They proceeded that with 2 runs in the second inning to take an early 8-0 lead. The Threshers answered the Falcons two runs in the second inning when
Taylor Sanfillippo smacked a two-run homerun to left field. The game would be all Falcons the rest of the way as they tacked on six more runs to take game one 14-2. The story for the Threshers was their defense struggling to make plays as they made 6 errors in the loss.

Friends was able to get runners in scoring position in the seventh inning with a pair of walks and an error. With two outs in the final frame, the bases loaded and a 3-2 count, freshman hurler
Reagan Robinson was able to execute the payoff pitch closing out the 2-1 victory with a strikeout.
