NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - This Saturday, September 17th the #22 ranked Bethel Threshers will look to continue their winning ways on the road against the #9 ranked Kansas Wesleyan. Each of these teams were co-champions of the KCAC in 2021 and show no signs of slowing down in 2022.

Kansas Wesleyan is amid a phenomenal start to their season, as their defense has still not given up a single point after matchups against Friends University and Sterling College.

Bethel is also amid a hot start, beating both McPherson and Friends in their first two matchups of the season.Â

Two of the key contributors for the Threshers so far this season have been All-American
Josh Seabolt and quarterback
DJ Ciers.Â

Seabolt has been the anchor of the Thresher defense in 2022 and continues to produce at a highly efficient rate. Through two regular season games, he has 19 tackles, a forced fumble and a pick-6 that closed the game against Friends last week.Â

Ciers has been a swiss offensive army knife for the Thresher offense. Ciers currently leads the team in both rushing and passing, with grand totals of 178 yards on the ground and 117 yards through the air. He also has five touchdowns on the year.

Kansas Wesleyan has gained a total of 1,005 yards thus far on offense in 2022 and has allowed only 312 yards on defense.Â

Some of the key contributors for KWU have been linebacker Lucas Rockford and running back Lucas Allsma. Allsma has 193 rushing yards through two games, while Rockford has a total of 13 tackles through the team's two opening matchups.Â
