NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - After taking a 1-0 advantage in the first half, the Bethel College men's soccer team gave up four second-half goals to the Ottawa Braves. This loss ends the Threshers seven game streak without losing.

The Threshers' leading goal scorer,
Filip Maksimovic, put them on the board first after receiving a long pass from
Lucas Pardo and beating a Brave defender.

Maksimovic had another chance later in the half that hit the post and found
Aleksa Morovic in front of a wide-open net, five yards out. Morovic mishit the ball, putting it off of the crossbar.

After taking a 1-0 lead into the intermission, Bethel forfeited two early second-half goals to the Braves as they fell behind.

Ottawa connected on two more goals throughout the second half as they took the contest 4-1.

The Threshers took seven shots to the Braves 15.Â

Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, October 18th as they take on the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes in Salina, Kan. at 7:30 PM.
