STERLING, Kan. - The Bethel College volleyball team started slow and cruised to a 3-0 victory over Sterling.
The Threshers took the opening set 25-21 behind 14 kills and a .355 hitting percentage.Â
Neither team had a great hitting second set as they Threshers took it 25-17. Bethel hit a mere .034, but held Sterling to a -.132 in the set.
The Bethel attack bounced back in the third set as they hit .256, recording 16 kills.Â
Cameron Offerle led the Threshers with 9 kills on 22 attempts hitting .273.
Darla Crow hit .400 recording 7 kills and 6 blocks in the victory.
Kaitlyn Shima commanded the Threshers offense recording 24 assists.Â
Brooke Russell and
Mia Roman both led the Bethel back row as they recorded 8 digs apiece in the win.
The Threshers will be back in action as they continue on their three game road trip before heading home for their final contest. Their next contest will come on Friday, October 27th as they take on Avila at 6:00 PM.
