NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - On their final home contest of the season, the Bethel College Women's Soccer team fell to the Avila Eagles 2-0.
Avila broke the scoreless tie in the 26th minute after a ball from a corner kick rattled around the box before finding an Eagle attacker.
The Eagles extended their lead over the Threshers in the 87th minute before holding on for the 2-0 victory.
Bethel took four shots in each half, getting three on goal in the loss.Â
Mariah Vallejo recorded six saves in her final contest in goal for the Threshers.
Following the contest, Bethel celebrated their seniors that are leaving the program following this season.
