NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team picked up their first KCAC Conference victory over Bethany 82-59 as they move to 1-1 in KCAC play.

Bethel led from the jump as Harper Jonas knocked down one of his game high four made three point baskets to get the scoring started. The Threshers led by as much as eight points in the half as they took a five point advantage into the intermission.

Bethel's hot shooting continued as they shot over 58% from the floor and made five more threes in the final frame. The shining point of the second half, however, came on the other end of the floor as Bethel's defense held the Swedes to just 27 points on 34% shooting from the floor and 10% from three point range.
