Three Threshers finish in double figures as Women's Basketball falls in final contest of 2023

FULTON, Mo. - The Bethel College women's basketball team played their final contest of the 2023 calendar year against William Woods at Westminster College due to the Owls refinishing their gym floor, a 77-56 loss.
 
The contest started with both teams trading buckets, unable to gain separation from one another until the Owls took a seven-point advantage halfway through the opening quarter.
 
After trailing 17-10 entering the second quarter, the Threshers outscored the Owls by two in the first of the middle two quarters to trail y just five, 29-24, at the break.
 
The two foes played even in the third quarter each scoring 21 points as the contest entered the final quarter with Bethel trailing 50-45.
 
The Owls were lights out in the final frame knocking down 6 of 7 three point attempts on their way to scoring 27 points while holding Bethel to just 11.
