NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team returned home for KCAC play against the Saint Mary Spires as they led for the vast majority of the contest before winning 69-63.

Bethel trailed for a total of three minutes in the opening half as they took a four-point lead into the intermission.

With the score tied at 29 and just under two minutes left to play, Bethel got back-to-back buckets from
Jared Richardson as they took the four-point advantage at halftime.

After a well-balanced scoring first half
Keyaun Hoskin,
Harper Jonas and
Eli Wiseman combined for 33 of the Threshers' second-half points.

The Spires never held a lead in the second half of the contest, although they tied the score at the 11:33 mark and once again at the 7:47 mark.Â

Bethel's largest lead of the contest was nine points, which came in the second half.
