NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team capped their 2023 portion of KCAC play with an 81-73 victory over the Tabor Bluejays.

Carmelo Yakubu,
Miguel Vojtova and
Harper Jonas led the way for the Threshers in the opening 20 minutes of play as all three poured in eight points. Yakubu was 4 of 6 from the floor, while Vojtova and Jonas were both 2 of 2 from three point range.

Tabor held a lead for much of the first ten minutes of the contest, leading by as much as five points. Bethel led for most of the final ten minutes of the opening half, capping it off with five straight points to lead 41-36.

To start the second half, Bethel built their lead up to nine points early, but the Bluejays responded quickly never letting the Threshers push it to double-digits.

Tabor led for nearly seven minutes of the second half, never by more than four points as the Threshers kept them close eventually going on a 13-2 run to take the seven point advantage.

The Threshers never relinquished their lead and capped the victory off with an emphatic dunk from
Keyaun Hoskin that pushed it as high as 10 points.
