NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Men's Tennis team won dropped their first KCAC match of the season on Saturday afternoon to the Southwestern Moundbuilders.
The Threshers picked up the doubles point behind wins at #1 and #2 doubles.
Michael Cech and
Petr Kollar picked up a 6-2 victory.
Milan Bucek and
Tomas Quercia won their match 6-4 to secure the point.
Damian Rosas and
Jonah Bergeron fell 6-2 in #3 doubles.
Bucek picked up the lone singles win for the Threshers as he defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-1 in the #1 position. Cech won the first set in his match 6-3, but dropped the next two 7-5, 6-2.
Rodrigo Sanchez also fell in a third set after winning the first. His match went 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Kollar fell 7-6(7-3), 6-4 at #4. Quercia dropped the Threshers third three set match of the contest as he lost the first 7-5, won the second 6-4 and lost the third 10-2. Rosas fell in two straight 6-2, 6-3.
The Threshers will be back in action on Monday, April 3rd as they host the Friends Falcons at Ward Tennis Center with doubles set to begin at 3:00 PM.
