Flag Football falls in weather impacted contest 39-0 to Ottawa

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Bethel College flag football team took on the Ottawa Braves as they continued KCAC play on Saturday. The Threshers fell 39-0 to the Braves in three quarters before the contest was called due to lightning in the area.

Ottawa got the scoring started in the first quarter scoring two touchdowns. Bethel was able to stop both of the Braves extra point attempts. 

The Threshers were able to hold the Braves to just one score in the second quarter as they entered the break trailing 19-0. 

Ottawa scored three more times in the third quarter before the contest was called due to lightning in the area.

The Threshers will be back inaction on Saturday, April 22nd for their final contest of the season as they host the Saint Mary Spires. The game is set to begin at 1:00 PM at Thresher Stadium.
