No. 6 seeded Threshers fall to No. 3 seeded Warriors in KCAC Quarterfinals

LEES SUMMIT, Mo. - The Bethel College Flag Football team wrapped up their inaugural season in the KCAC Quarterfinals as they fell to the No. 3 seeded Midland Warriors. 

The Warriors jumped out to a big early advantage as they scored two touchdowns in the first three minutes of the contest. 

Bethel was able to keep Midland off of the board for the next 21 minutes until they pushed across the goal line with 10 seconds to go in the first half.

The Threshers entered the third quarter trailing 20-0 before the Warriors scored another two quick touchdowns to take the 33-0 lead. 

Kylah Rome stepped up for the Threshers offensively in the fourth quarter as she scored Bethel's only two touchdowns. A three yard run and a seven yard run. Rome also ran in the lone successful extra point attempt for the Threshers. 

With all of the momentum in favor of the Threshers so far in the fourth quarter, Midland put together an 8 play 66 yard drive that ate five minutes off of the clock and put the Warriors up 39-13.

Mikinzie Harkins forced the only two turnovers the Warriors had as she picked off Warrior pass attempts.

Passing - Kylah Rome - 9 of 25 for 56 yards

Rushing - Kylah Rome - 16 attempts for 66 yards, 2 TD's

Receiving - Jaquelle Tucker - 3 receptions for 29 yards 

Tackles - Jaquelle Tucker - 9 

This marks the end of the Thresher Flag Football inaugural season as the finish 1-9.
