NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Athletic Department has announced the resignation of Angela Rowe, head women's flag football coach, in pursuit of another career opportunity.
Angela expressed a heartfelt thank you for her time at Bethel when announcing her resignation, "Bethel was the start of my college coaching career and I would like to extend my gratitude to Bethel College for affording me the opportunity to increase my skill set and gain knowledge of collegiate athletics."
Rowe joined the Threshers in the spring of 2022 to begin the building process of the Threshers Women's Flag Football program.
"Angela was given a difficult task of building a program from the ground up," Interim Director of Athletics Collin Loutensock stated. "I am thankful for all of the hard work Coach Rowe put into our women's flag football program, leaving us in a great spot moving forward."
In Rowe's lone season leading the Threshers, the team finished 1-9 picking up their first win in program history against the University of Saint Mary.
"As I move on to other opportunities, Bethel will always be a part of my path, as etched from the beginning," Rowe stated.
A national search for the next head women's basketball coach will begin immediately.
In athletics, Bethel competes within the 13-school Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference and the NAIA. For more information, see
