Men's Golf finishes 10th at Central Kansas Classic

McPHERSON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's golf team participated in the Central Kansas Classic hosted by Central Christian College at Turkey Creek to begin the week. The Threshers were tested on day one with a constant drizzle all day long that forced the day to move from 36 holes to 18. Day two saw the Threshers scores improve drastically shaving 10 strokes off their team total.

Bethel's top finisher was freshman Jacob Regier who fired off a second round 71 after shooting n 80 in the soggy opening round to finish T22.

Six strokes behind him was Nathan Gutierrez who finished T37 after carding rounds of 82 and 75. 

Caleb Koontz finished T52 after shooting an opening round 79 followed up by an 83.

Both Luke Riffel and Gavin Rogers finished T55. Riffel carded rounds of 83 and 80, while Rogers shot 78 and 85.

Playing as an individual, Cayden Cundiff finished 70th with rounds of 94 and 88.

Also playing as an individual, Eric Schmidt finished 71st with rounds of 90 and 93.

The Threshers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday September 25th and 26th as they participate in the Hastings Classic at Lochland Country Club.
