LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethel College women's soccer team scored four first half goals on their way to a 6-0 victory over Bethany College.
Just over nine minutes into the contest,
Taylor Dashney got the Threshers on the board, her first of two goals on the evening.
Briseis Gomez then proceeded to score two goals within ten minutes of each other putting Bethel up 3-0 just 28 minutes into the contest.
Dashney's second goal came on a pass from
Claire Hedlund in the 33rd minute as the Threshers held on to a 4-0 lead at the intermission,.
Hedlund got in on the action in the 79th minute as she pushed the Bethel lead to one more, assisted by
Gabby Fields.
The Threshers final goal of the evening came from
Estefania Gonzalez, assisted by
Kelsie Kreutzer.
Bethel outshot Bethany 19(16) to 6(5), as
Mariah Vallejo recorded all 5 saves for the Threshers in 90 minutes of action.
Dashney and Gomez both finished with perfect shot on goals percentage as Taylor was five for five and Biseis was three for three.
The Threshers will be back on the pitch on Saturday, September 23rd as they travel to Friends to take on the Falcons at 11 AM.
