NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's soccer team dropped a home contest 7-1 to Southwestern.
 
The Moundbuilders took control early with a goal in the third minute. 
 
Southwestern added four more goals in the opening 45 minutes as they took a 5-0 lead into the break.
 
Following another Moundbuilder goal, the Threshers got on the board when Claire Hedlund got loose in the box and was able to find the back of the net.
 
Southwestern tacked on one more goal as they took the contest 7-1.
 
The Threshers were outshot 19(14) to 14(12) in the loss.
 
Bethel will be back in action on Wednesday, October 4th as they travel to McPherson College with kickoff set for 5:00 PM.
