WICHITA, Kan. - After scoring just nine points in the opening frame, Bethel responded with 25 points in the third to get back into the contest before falling to Friends University 77-67.
The Threshers trailed by ten following the first ten minutes of play before both teams put up 20 points in the second quarter giving the Falcons the 39-29 lead at the intermission.
Kendall Locke scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in the third quarter as the Threshers scored 25 points, the highest quarter total for either team in the contest.
Trailing by just four points entering the fourth quarter, Bethel cut the Friends lead down to just two points multiple times early on. The Falcons responded by going on a 13-4 run to push the lead back to double-digits.
