LINDSBORG, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team used 20-point performances by
Nick Bonner and
Keyaun Hoskin as they took down the Bethany Swedes 72-53.

Nearly 60% of the Threshers first half points came from the right hand of Bonner as he nearly matched his career high in the first 20 minutes of play scoring 22 of Bethel's 37 points.

After a slow start to the half for both sides, Bethel finished shooting over 56% from the floor and 50% from three-point range on their way to holding on to a 37-31 advantage at the break.

Hoskin carried the scoring load for the Threshers in the second half as he poured in 20 of his 21 points in the final 20 minutes of play.

To go along with Hoskin's hot shooting, the Bethel defense stepped up in the second half. After allowing the Swedes to shoot nearly 43% from the floor in the opening frame, the Threshers held them to just 25% in the second half. Allowing just eight made baskets over the 20 minutes.

After setting his career high in points twice earlier this month, Bonner pushed his career best scoring game one point higher with his 27-point performance in the victory.

Bonner and Hoskin combined to shoot 61.2% from the floor and 66.7% from three-point range while scoring 48 of Bethel's 72 points.

Hoskin recorded his second double-double of the season as he pulled in 10 boards to go with his 21 points.
