NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's basketball team got back into the win column with a 74-67 victory over Avila thanks to a hot shooting second half.

Despite shooting over 45% from the field in the opening 20 minutes, the Threshers scored just 28 points in the frame. Bethel led by just five points at the intermission despite holding the Eagles to 25% shooting in the opening half.

Ekene Duru shot a perfect 3 of 3 from the field in the first half to lead Bethel at the break with 7 points.

Keyaun Hoskin and
Jalyn Todd combined for 26 of Bethel's 46 second half points as they duo shot 8 of 13 from the floor and 8 of 9 from the charity strip.

Both teams shot the ball really well in the second half as Avila shot nearly 55% from the floor and over 57% from three while Bethel shot over 58% from the floor and 54% from three.
