Bethel College men's soccer team delivered a convincing 4-0 win against Sterling. Aleksa Oborina led Bethel with two early goals, and contributions from Gabriel Okita and Kian Madeiros rounded out the scoring.
First Half: Bethel Sets the Tone with Early Goals
The Threshers wasted no time, as Oborina opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, assisted by Lucas Pardo. Oborina added another goal in the 15th minute, giving Bethel a quick 2-0 lead. Okita joined the scoring effort in the 28th minute, assisted by Kevin Zavala, pushing Bethel's advantage to 3-0 by halftime. Goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk made key saves to keep the clean sheet intact.
Second Half: Bethel Secures the Win
In the 81st minute, Kian Madeiros added Bethel's fourth goal, assisted by Oborina, cementing the Threshers' dominant performance. Bethel controlled the game from start to finish, outshooting Sterling 20-11. The defense held firm, and Samuel Hernandez closed out the match in goal to preserve the shutout.
This victory brings Bethel to 7-7-3 overall and 6-3-3 in conference play.
