In a tough match against Avila University, Bethel fell 6-1 in their final match of the season.
First Half
Bethel faced an early challenge as Avila netted two goals, taking advantage of their offensive pressure. Despite a solid defensive stand from goalie Victoria Esquivel, who recorded several key saves, Bethel trailed 2-0 at halftime.
Second Half
Avila came out strong in the second half, adding four more goals. Bethel's persistence paid off in the 75th minute when Grace Anderson scored with an assist from Briseis Gomez, marking Bethel's only goal of the match. Though Bethel fought hard, Avila's relentless attack proved too much to overcome.
Leaders
Bethel will finish their season 6-10-2 overall with a 4-8-1 record in conference. The Threshers return a great young core of players and have a bright future ahead of them
