Lindsborg, Kan. - November 23rd
The Bethel College Men's Basketball team struggled to keep pace with Bethany College's shooting in the second half, falling 87-71 in their conference matchup. Strong performances from Cade Kittrell and Carmelo Yakubu kept Bethel competitive in the first half.
First Half: Close Contest
Bethel opened the game with intensity, as Kittrell led the way in scoring, and Harper Jonas connected on two critical three-pointers to keep the game tight. Both teams traded leads throughout the first half, with Bethel heading into halftime down by just one point, 36-35.
Second Half: Bethany Pulls Ahead
Bethany found their rhythm in the second half, shooting 66.7% from the field and 54.5% from beyond the arc. While Yakubu recorded a double-double and Kittrell continued to score, Bethel couldn't counter Bethany's offensive surge. Turnovers and second-chance points widened the gap, and Bethany capitalized to secure the win.
Bethel will return to Thresher Gym on Wednesday, December 4th, to face Friends University in their next conference game.
