Men's Soccer Falls to #2 Oklahoma Wesleyan in KCAC Semifinal

Wichita, Kan. - November 8th

In their final game of the season, Bethel College Men's Soccer faced a formidable challenge in the KCAC semifinals against the #2 seed, ultimately falling 6-2 in a hard-fought battle.

First Half: Opponent Builds Early Lead

The game opened with Bethel under intense pressure, as OKWU quickly established control and broke through with a goal around the 29th minute. Bethel countered with shots from Filip Maksimovic and Aleksa Oborina, but struggled to penetrate a solid defense. OKWU extended their lead to 2-0 with another goal before halftime.

Second Half: Bethel Rallies with Late Goals

OKWU started the 2nd half fast adding three more goals by the 70th minute. Bethel's persistence paid off in the 74th minute when Adalsteinn Kristinsson, assisted by Gabriel Okita, scored to put the Threshers on the board at 5-1. Just minutes later, Maksimovic struck again for Bethel, narrowing the margin to 6-2. However, Bethel's rally fell short as the opponent maintained their lead to close out the game.

This will wrap up the men's soccer season as they finished 9-8-3 and a 4th place finish in the KCAC.
