Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Women’s Basketball Narrowly Defeated by Park University

Parkville, Mo. - November 9th

In a close and competitive non-conference matchup, Bethel College Women's Basketball fell 69-57 to Park University on the road. Despite strong stretches of play, Bethel couldn't maintain their momentum in the final quarter.

First Quarter: Bethel Finds Their Rhythm

Bethel started off steady, matching Park's pace and staying within range throughout the first quarter. Carley Robb and Kendall Locke contributed early, keeping Bethel tied at 12-12 by the end of the quarter. Their defense held firm, limiting Park to just 15.4% shooting from the field.

Second Quarter: Park Pulls Ahead

The second quarter saw Park gain the edge with improved shooting and rebounding. Bethel continued to create opportunities, but Park's defense held strong, allowing them to take an 18-16 advantage in the quarter and enter halftime with a slim 30-28 lead.

Third Quarter: Bethel Stays Competitive

Bethel kept up their offensive pressure in the third, outscoring Park 21-20. Locke and Robb hit several key shots from beyond the arc, helping the Threshers stay within striking distance. However, Park managed to hold onto their lead, finishing the quarter up by one.

Fourth Quarter: Park Seals the Win

In the final quarter, Park extended their lead, holding Bethel to just 8 points while adding 19 of their own. Despite Bethel's efforts, Park's consistency from the free-throw line and second-chance points helped them secure the 69-57 victory.

Bethel's next game will be their conference opener on Saturday, November 16th, at Saint Mary.
