BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Bethel College men's basketball team took on the No. 4 Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles as the two faced off for a spot in the KCAC Tournament Semifinals. The Eagles opened up a big lead in the first half and held on for the 74-61 victory.
The Threshers saw themselves fall behind big in the opening twenty minutes of play as they struggled to put the ball in the basket. Bethel shot just 28.6% from the floor and three-point range in the first half while the Eagles shot it at nearly a 54% clip.
Trailing 42-22 at the half, Bethel allowed Oklahoma Wesleyan to push their lead up to as much as 26 before putting together a strong run.
The Threshers used a 16-3 run to get within ten points. The run was sparked by eight points from
Eli Wiseman as Bethel shot 3 of 5 from three point range while holding the Eagles nearly scoreless over a 4:19 minute span.
Unfortunately for the Threshers, the Eagles held them to just two points in the final three minutes as they held on for the victory.

The difference in the contest came in the painted area where the Eagles scored 34 points while holding Bethel to just 14.

As a team, Bethel recorded a blocked shot while stealing the ball 9 times in the contest.
Bethel pulled in 28 rebounds to the Eagles 37.
Eight Threshers scored in the loss, three in double figures.
Bethel lost the turnover battle 15-10.
