NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College women's basketball team found themselves on the wrong of a one-point contest as they fell to Ottawa 65-64.

Madyson McKinzie led the charge for the Threshers in the first quarter as she scored 9 of Bethel's 15 points.

After outscoring the Braves by a point in the first frame, the Threshers held on to a three- point lead at the intermission as
Kendall Locke and McKinzie both had 12 points at the break.

Coming out of the break, the Braves turned in the highest scoring quarter for either team as they put up 24 points while holding Bethel to 17.

Trailing by four entering the fourth quarter, Bethel held Ottawa to just nine points but scored just 12 themselves as they fell just a point short of the Braves in the contest despite outscoring them in three of the four quarters.
