TOPEKA, Kan. – The Bethel College indoor track and field teams recorded another strong showing at the Washburn Rust Buster breaking three more school records.
The first broken record of the weekend came on Friday evening as the women's distance medley team of
Mia Roman,
Myiah Logue,
Taryn Paulino and
Bethany Schrag broke the school record by nearly 30 seconds as they finished 8
th with a time of 13:26.37.
The second broken record of the weekend was in the 3000m as Schrag shattered her own school record running over three seconds faster recording a time of 11:32.62 to finish 26
th.
Paulino broke the 800m record with a time of 2:28.63 only to be bested by Roman in the following heat as she ran a 2:27.01 as they finished 33
rd and 39
th.
Roman also recorded a 49
th place finish in the 400m with a time of 1:02.80.
Tobin Wise ran a personal best 1:58.71 in the 200m to finish 30
th.
Schrag ran a person best 5:40.46 in the mile to finish in 42
nd.
Logue finished 18
th in the triple jump with a mark of 10.73m and 27
th in the long jump with a season best 5.03m jump.
The men's distance medley relay team of
Luke Schmidt,
Fabian Talavera,
Braden Esau and Wise finished 13
th with a time of 10:45.86.
The men's 4x400m relay team of Schmidt, Talavera,
Simon Hodge and Wise finished 23
rd with a season best time of 3:29.37
Both indoor track and field squads will be back in action on February 12
th and 13
th for the KCAC Championships.
