Track and Field records 18 top-ten finishes at Bethel Invite

NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - Both Bethel College track and field teams turned in strong performances in their home meet as they combined for 18 top-ten finishes.
 
Fabian Talavera finished the 200m in 4th with a time of 23.42 while Simon Hodge finished 11th with a time of 24.01.
 
Parker Schroeder finished 10th in the 400m with a time of 1:05.60.
 
Hodge finished 11th in the 400m as well with a time of 51.86.
 
Mia Roman finished 6th in the 800m with a time of 2:20.56. Taryn Paulino finished 14th with a time of 2:36.46. Emma Graber finished 24th with a time of 2:52.29.
 
Braden Esau turned in a 2nd place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:01.48. Luke Schmidt finished 5th with a time of 2:03.38, while Isaiah Bartel finished 8th with a time of 2:05.13. Seth Balzer ended up 21st with a time of 2:12.35.
 
Bethany Schrag finished 7th in the 1500m with a time of 5:18.22.
 
Tobin Wise ran the 1500m in a time of 4:10.24 to find himself in 2nd after the completion of the event.
 
Schrag finished 3rd in the 5000m with a time of 19:49.28.
 
Wise finished 5th in the 5000m with a time of 16:39.02 with Marcus Fiedler finishing right behind him in 6th with a time of 16:45.54. Robert Crager finished 12th with a time of 18:34.99.
 
In the 3000m steeplechase, Fiedler finished 10th with a time of 10:40.57.
 
Myiah Logue turned in a pair of top-five finishes as she finished 3rd in the triple jump with a mark of 10.39m and 5th in the long jump with a mark of 4.92m. Elisabeth Rowe finished the long jump in 9th with a mark of 4.60m.
 
Quian Henderson finished 4th in the high jump with a mark of 1.87m.
 
Carley Bartell finished 16th in the discus with a mark of 32.83m and 18th in the shot put with a mark of 8.79m.
 
Hayden Wallace finished 10th in the hammer with a mark of 39.45m, 13th in the shot put with a mark of 11.62m and 17th in the discus with a mark of 34.57m.
 
Daniel Kaufman finished 5th in the javelin with a mark of 50.70m and 24th in the shot put with a mark of 9.14m.
