NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College men's tennis team began their three match homestand to end the KCAC regular season with a 6-1 victory over Sterling.
The Threshers won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point with a 6-1 victory at #1 and 6-2 victories at #2 and #3.
Milan Bucek won his match when his opponent withdrew in the second set. Bucek was up 1-0 with a 6-1 victory in set one and was leading 2-0 in set two when his opponent retired.
Michael Cech earned a commanding 6-0, 6-3 victory at #2.
Tomas Quercia needed three sets to win his match as he won 6-4, 2-6, 10-5.
Petr Kollar won his match easily with a 6-0, 6-3 victory.
Rodrigo Sanchez won at #5 with a pair of 6-2 victories.
Jonah Bergeron dropped the lone match for the Threshers as he fell in three sets 6-4, 0-6, 11-9.
The Threshers will be back in action on Thursday, April 18th as they host Kansas Wesleyan at 3:00 PM.
