LINDSBORG, Kan. — Bethel College's volleyball won 3-0 over Bethany College on Wednesday night. The Threshers put together a near-flawless performance, winning each set decisively (25-12, 25-17, 25-15).
Kylah Carter led the offensive charge for Bethel with 9 kills on 20 attempts, with an impressive .450 hitting percentage. Cameron Offerle added 7 kills and contributed 4 service aces, while Darla Crow put on a solid performance with 7 kills and 4 block assists, accounting for 9 points total.
Bethel's defense was equally effective, limiting Bethany to a .018 team hitting percentage. Abby Koontz was solid in the back row, collecting 10 digs, while Mia Roman controlled the game with 23 assists and 12 digs of her own.
From the first serve, Bethel took control. After building a 9-5 lead early in the first set, they never looked back, forcing Bethany into numerous errors and capitalizing on every opportunity. The Threshers were particularly sharp in the third set, hitting a match-high .310 and closing out the match with a dominant block and a final kill from Carter.
With this win, Bethel opens their conference season on a high note.
