Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Early Goals from Pardo & Maskimovic Propel Men's Soccer Over Friends

North Newton, Kan - In an intense and closely contested match, the Bethel College Threshers came out on top, defeating the Friends University Falcons 2-1. With strong defensive plays and critical goals in the first half, the Threshers set the tone early and held on to win.

Bethel started the scoring in the 19th minute when Filip Maksimovic found the back of the net with a well-placed shot, giving the Threshers an early 1-0 lead. Just four minutes later, Lucas Pardo doubled the lead with a strike in the 23rd minute, providing Bethel with a comfortable cushion. Despite a goal from Friends' Caique Pereira in the 27th minute, Bethel's defense remained resilient for the remainder of the game.

Goalkeeper Kazimir Kromwijk played a key role for the Threshers, recording seven saves to help secure the win. Friends made a strong push in the second half, but Kromwijk's outstanding performance kept them at bay, preserving the 2-1 scoreline.

With this victory, Bethel improves to 3-5 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. Next up, the Threshers will travel to York for a Wednesday night showdown in their 4th KCAC matchup of the season.
