Men’s Soccer Battles to Scoreless Draw at Evangel

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Bethel College men's soccer team went on the road Saturday and earned a hard-fought 0–0 draw against Evangel University in KCAC play.

Despite the cold, wet conditions, the Threshers created several solid chances and held strong defensively to secure a valuable conference point. Gabriel Okita and Diego Martinez led the Bethel attack, combining for four of the team's five shots, while Kazimir Kromwijk stood tall in goal with three saves to record the clean sheet.

Bethel generated consistent pressure through set pieces, earning five corner kicks to Evangel's two, and matched the Valor with 16 fouls apiece in a physical battle from start to finish.

With the result, Bethel moves to 3–10–3 overall and 2–6–3 in KCAC play, now sitting just four points out of eighth place and the final postseason qualifying spot.

The Threshers will look to build on the road result when they travel to York, Nebraska, on Wednesday for another key conference matchup.
