NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — The Bethel College men's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 season on Saturday evening, falling 4–1 to Saint Mary in the final match of the year at Thresher Stadium.
After Saint Mary built a 3–0 first-half lead, Bethel responded early in the second when Branden Balvanz buried an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute — his first of the season. Despite several second-half chances from Gabriel Okita and Aden Braggs, the Threshers couldn't close the gap as the Spires added a late goal to seal the result.
Kazimir Kromwijk made three saves in goal, finishing his senior campaign as a consistent leader between the posts.
The match also marked Senior Night, where Bethel honored goalkeepers Kazimir Kromwijk and Samuel Hernandez for their dedication and leadership to the program.
The contest closes out the Threshers' first season under head coach Juan Zamora, as Bethel finishes the year 3–12–3 overall and 2–8–3 in KCAC play, showing flashes of promise from a young and developing roster.
