Volleyball Takes Down Saint Mary to Stay in KCAC Top Four

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — The Bethel College volleyball team continued its strong run through KCAC play, earning a 3–1 road win over Saint Mary (25–18, 14–25, 25–17, 25–19) on Saturday afternoon.

The Threshers controlled the opening set behind efficient attacking from Darla Crow, who finished the day with 14 kills on a .650 hitting percentage along with five total blocks. Alayna Vines added nine kills, three aces, and four total blocks, while Dalaina Schutte ran the offense with 28 assists and 12 digs. Elena Vanderweg and Abby Koontz anchored the back row with 25 combined digs, keeping rallies alive throughout the match.

Bethel hit .171 as a team and totaled 12 team blocks, holding Saint Mary to just a .101 hitting percentage.

With the win, the Threshers improve to 19–9 overall and 9–2 in KCAC play, currently in fourth place behind Evangel. Bethel currently holds the head-to-head tiebreaker after defeating the Valor earlier this season, and Evangel still has matchups remaining against the conference's top two teams.

Bethel returns to action on Wednesday night, traveling to Kansas Wesleyan for a 7:00 PM first serve in Salina.
