YORK, Neb.—The Bethel College women's basketball team secured a crucial 78-64 road victory over York University on Saturday afternoon, locking in the fourth seed for the upcoming KCAC Tournament. The Threshers finish the regular season at 16-12 overall and 15-7 in conference play.
With the win and results from around the conference, Bethel will host Friends University in the first round of the KCAC Tournament on Thursday at 7 PM inside Thresher Gym.
How It Happened
Bethel started strong, leading 20-16 after the first quarter behind an efficient offensive performance. Kendall Locke was dominant throughout the game, finishing with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Madyson McKinzie added 21 points and six rebounds.
The Threshers continued to control the game, taking a 39-28 lead into halftime. York made a push in the third quarter, but Bethel held firm, finishing the game strong with a 24-point fourth quarter to seal the victory.
