Game 1: Hastings College 14, Bethel 4
Bethel struggled in the first game of the doubleheader, falling to Hastings College 14-4. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead in the first inning after a Hastings error allowed a run to score, the Threshers could not hold on as Hastings exploded for seven runs in the fifth inning. Bethel's defense committed several errors, contributing to the Broncos' offensive outburst. The Threshers made attempts to answer back, with key hits from Sadie Jensen and Cassie Albin, but the Hastings offense was too much to overcome.
Key Performances:
- Bethel: Ella Caudill went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Sadie Jensen added a double with an RBI.
