Men's Tennis Dominates Southwestern in Home Victory

North Newton, Kan, - The Bethel College men's tennis team delivered a commanding 7-0 victory over Southwestern on Tuesday at the Ward Tennis Center. 

With new pairings in doubles, Bethel did not miss a beat. At No. 1 doubles, James Menard and Jorge Batista controlled their match from start to finish, securing a dominant win. Billy Haoda teamed up with Titus Wassom at No. 2 doubles, where Wassom made his spring debut in style, helping the duo claim a flawless 6-0 victory. The Threshers also won No. 3 doubles by default, taking a clean sweep into singles play.

The momentum carried into singles, where Bethel showcased its strength across the lineup. Rodrigo Sanchez continued his impressive form, winning convincingly at No. 1 singles. Moses Sawatzky is finding his stride as well, cruising to a straight-set win at No. 2. Senior leaders Jordan Twenter (No. 3 singles) and Elias Harder (No. 4 singles) capitalized on their opportunities, both delivering strong victories.

With another sweep in the books, Bethel now shifts focus to its next match, as the Threshers return home to take on Morningside on Thursday at 4 p.m.
