North Newton, Kan. - The Bethel men's tennis team delivered a commanding performance at home, sweeping Bethany College 7-0 on Monday afternoon at Ward Tennis Center.

The Threshers opened the match with their strongest doubles showing of the season. The tandems of Jorge Batista and Jonah Bergeron, Zaidh Zihar and Petr Kollar, and Billy Haoda and James Menard all earned 6-3 victories to give Bethel the early advantage.

In singles play, Bethel maintained their momentum and showcased their depth. Jorge Batista emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle at No. 1 singles, rallying for a 6-7, 6-4, 10-7 win. Petr Kollar led 6-3 before his opponent retired in the second set at No. 2 singles. Zaidh Zihar, Rodrigo Sanchez, Billy Haoda, and Jonah Bergeron all picked up straight-set wins to seal the sweep.
