Bartlesville, Okla. - The Bethel men's tennis team extended its strong form with a dominant 7-0 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday in Bartlesville.
The Threshers set the tone early with a clean sweep in doubles. Zaidh Zihar and Petr Kollar rolled to a 6-1 win at the top spot, while the pairings of Jonah Bergeron and Jorge Batista (6-3) and James Menard and Billy Haoda (6-0) completed the doubles point with ease.
Singles action was more of the same for Bethel. Jorge Batista and Zaidh Zihar each earned efficient straight-set victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Petr Kollar held firm in a tight second-set tiebreaker to take his match at No. 2. Rodrigo Sanchez, Billy Haoda, and Jonah Bergeron rounded out the sweep with commanding wins on courts four through six.
