North Newton, Kan - The Bethel women's tennis team put together an impressive outing on Monday, defeating Bethany College 6-1 in front of their home crowd at Ward Tennis Center.
The Threshers dominated the doubles portion of the match, dropping just four total games across the three courts. The teams of Daniela Herrera and Daniela Casique at No. 1, Grace Dawes and Patty Huerta at No. 2, and Charis Yager and Kate Rowland at No. 3 all cruised to 6-1 or 6-2 wins.
At the top of the singles lineup, Bethel continued to shine. Daniela Herrera, Daniela Casique, and Grace Dawes all posted straight-set victories at the No. 1, 2, and 3 spots. Kate Rowland added a clean 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6. Patty Huerta battled through a three-set thriller to earn a victory at No. 5 singles. Bethany's lone point came at the No. 4 position.
