Hillsboro, Kan. — Bethel College (10-27, 6-20 KCAC) wrapped up its 2025 softball season on Tuesday afternoon with a pair of road losses to Tabor College (record not listed). Despite out-hitting the Bluejays in game one, the Threshers fell short 3-2 in a tightly contested opener before dropping game two 3-0 in a shutout.

Tabor opened the game with two runs in the bottom of the first and added another in the second on a Bethel error. The Threshers responded with a run in the first on an RBI single from Ella Caudill, scoring Reese McCord, and got within one in the fifth when Kailey Sandoval scored on a single from Ashleigh Bodine.
Bethel out-hit Tabor 11-6, led by a 3-for-3 day from Sadie Jensen, and two hits each from Bodine, Claire Broxterman, and Kaylee Linnebur. However, Bethel left seven runners on base and couldn't find the clutch hit to tie or take the lead.

Bethel scattered five hits but couldn't scratch across a run in the season finale. Tabor plated one run in the first and two more in the fifth, taking advantage of timely hits and a Bethel fielding error.
Ella Caudill went 2-for-2 at the plate, closing her senior season with a strong performance. Ashleigh Bodine, Claire Broxterman, and Cassie Albin also recorded hits, but Bethel left four runners on base, including three in the seventh inning.
Richardson and Emily Demartino combined to allow just two earned runs, striking out five in the loss.
